Love Letters

I love a good love story.  Nathaniel pursues Cora in “The Last of the Mohicans”.  Lancelot saves Guinevere, riding off in the sunset on horseback.  Adam and Eve alone in the garden walking with God in the cool of the day, aware only of each other and their God.   There’s something about a good love story that stirs my heart.

We are living in the greatest love story ever told.  So much of life around us distracts us away from the realization of how deeply we are pursued and loved, but that does not lessen the facts.  The bride price has been paid, we have been chosen, we are loved with an everlasting love.  Do you see Papa’s pursuit of your heart each day?

When I met my husband he was in the Coast Guard stationed on board a ship in Virginia  while I was in a small town in Tennessee.  It was before the time of e-mail, and free long distance.  There was not much access to the phone so our main communication was through letters..............

Oh Julie, I just love how your heart is devoted to our Father. You have so much wisdom that is definitely a result of you spending precious time in His presence.

What a beautiful post today. I don't think that analogy of a love letter and God's word will leave me for a long long time.

Thank you for that.

Warmly,

Joanne

Julie,
You are the blessing, sharing such a special story. One of my favorite things is hearing "how we met" stories from my friends and their spouse. Somehow, it tenders my heart to them to see them as the young smitten one and walk through that time with them. Your story is no different. I love imagining you waiting on your letters from your precious husband to be, and I rip the envelope open with you in anticipation of his sweet words! I guess I'm just a romantic! This is how I feel about His Word for me too. A precious love-letter. Glorious.

Hey!! I don't know if you remember me - you left me the sweetest comment months ago to encourage me. I'm not sure if I ever got back to you to say, sincerely, THANK YOU for that! So, if I didn't, I'm sorry. I really did appreciate your concern for me, a complete stranger. :)

It's been a while since I've checked back here and I see that you moved and I want to know -- HOW DID YOU DO IT??? I've been thinking about moving and changing my URL but when I tell you I am clueless about how to do that, I mean, I am C L U E L E S S! But I would love to know - if you could explain it to me.

Thanks - and now I will go browse your site. :)
Have a great week!

Hey Julie - thanks for getting back to me! I'm still confused though. Did you lose all of your old posts? Were you able to transfer everything when you changed your url? And if so, how did you do it?? I wouldn't want to change my url and lose all of my posts and have to start over. But I don't have the foggiest idea of how to transfer everything I've already got posted.
Thanks for your help - and you can just email me at jydardeau at bellsouth dot net.
